Goodbye Lloyds

As the new internet banking user interface I designed for Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland is rolled out to customers, I can now announce I will finish working with Lloyds Banking Group at the end of this year.

I have decided to focus on new projects in 2016 after working with the UK’s largest financial institution for the past 22 months. I will also be taking an extended break over Christmas as my wife Annie and I prepare for our new arrival.

Former Head of Design, Dan Holder brought in a brilliant team of freelance designers to act as an internal design agency and transform the digital output of the group’s brands. I will miss them all and hope to work with each of them again soon.

Lloyds Banking Group rolls out new Internet Banking sites

As lead designer on the project to redesign Internet Banking across Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland, I am very excited that the new design is finally starting to be rolled out to customers.

I have been working with Lloyds Banking Group since March 2014 as part of a team of freelance designers transforming the digital output of the group's main brands.

Working with Creative Director Ray Jopson and Experience Director Miles Sampson, I have tried to create a clear and simple experience with a modern but familiar layout. Key features include intelligent messaging and easy to access account tools and actions. There's still quite a bit of work to do to ensure that the site looks and works as it should, but it's great to see it start to be introduced to customers.

Halifax have created this video to introduce the new design to customers.
